Spring House

View of Springhouse: Historic springhouse will be restored and be used to educated visitors about the water cycle.  Solar panels will be installed on the roof to power a pump for the land based reed beds.

Bird’s Nest Viewing Tower: Viewing tower area is equipped with panoramic viewing scopes that allow the visitors to view the meadow and various stages of the forest succession.

Turtle Log: A natural log is attached with cable to an anchor and set into the center of the pond.  This floating log allows turtles to safely sun themselves, while allowing the park visitors to view them.

tethered reed bed

Floating Plant Bed: Plugs of native wet plant species can be grown in these floating structures and transplanted throughout the wet areas of the park. These structures will be anchored out in the pond on a tethered line so that they can moved in and out easily.
